It is 1813

, and England is at war with America. Viscount Anthony Strangeways’ life is upended when he meets an American lady, Virginia Livingstone, His best friend who works in the Foreign Office thinks she is a spy, but Tony sees in her a rare openness and sincerity he has always wanted in a woman. Which of them is right?
After she suffers a ballooning accident Virginia loses her memory. A man she cannot remember meeting calls on her, informing her privately she is an American spy. Can she believe him? And, as an American patriot, can she really be in love with a English Viscount?

Family:

In April two cataclysmic events occurred in our family.

Our son Morgan and his wife Jessi presented us with a new granddaughter: Victoria Kaye Vandagriff (Vika, pronounced Veeka). Jessi is rejoicing because she has a head of dark hair. Here she is with Henry (3 1/2)                                 .

On April 29th

, one week later, our son, Greg, passed away unexpectedly. We miss him exceedingly, but are sustained by our belief in our Savior Jesus Christ and the eternal life that He made possible. We are so grateful to our wonderful friends and family for making this time one filled with love.

Fun:

After Greg’s Memorial Service, we left Utah for a healing visit to my daughter’s family in California. We are really enjoying being with her five children in their new house with its lovely view of rolling hills planted in olive and orange groves. The children are as enchanting and as energetic as usual.
