G.G.’s Jottings

July, 2016

Work:

My big project at present is getting my tenth Regency, Her Fateful Debut , finished. I am hoping to release it in August. It is about a spunky country miss who goes to London for a Season and finds herself in a rare mess before 48 hours elapse. If you would like to preview the first chapter, you can read it here.

Family:

This has been a HUGE month for our family! Our sixth grandchild, Neve Marguerite Bailey was born at the end of June. David and I traveled to California to greet her on July 1. She is a beautiful child, much loved and admired by her four siblings. We had a wonderful visit with everyone.

I aspired to do Star Wars crafts with Micah and Natey, but my Jedi warrior finger puppets came out looking like chickens! Yoda was much more representational.

We got to celebrate Astrid’s second birthday while we were there. It was tremendous fun to see her tearing around in her new princess dress, and murmuring “awesome” as she opened her gifts.

We came home to celebrate Henry’s third birthday on the 11th. He was a very excited little boy, and declared it to be a “great party.”

Fun:

Our fun, as you can tell, has been all about the grandchildren! While we were in California, David was able to go on a hike to the Sequoias with all five “Vandabaileys.”
